  I had a root canal done two weeks ago and it was the worst experience of my life. First of all the consultation is $100 which only lasted about a minute. I seen Dr. Mc Garry. I went in with a severe infection and I was in excruciating pain. He went ahead with the procedure and it ended up hitting my nerve. I yelled and about jumped out of the chair and almost knocked over the tray...and started crying and shaking uncontrollably. He didn't stop. He numbed me up some more but never stopped. The whole procedure was uncomfortable and painful and nerve wrecking. I cried and shook uncontrollably the whole time wondering if the assistant would at least wipe my tears from drowning my ears....When he was finally done I got up and I was a mess, still crying and shaking. Still didn't ask if I was OK. He was explaining to me that I couldn't eat for about half an hour and I told him that I need it to go to the bathroom to get myself together. I went to the bathroom and just sat there and cried because I couldn't believe I had just sat there through that. I went to the receptionist and she right of way told me it was about $1200. But I could pay half. Because he didn't finish. She didn't ask if I was ok.. I was still shaking and distraught. I couldn't even count my $ from shanking so much. I told her what happened and she said "Oh it wasn't that bad" it's like everyone in that building was insensitive and didn't care about the patient. Dr. McGarry rushed through the whole procedure and didn't care that I was crying and shaking. I thought I would be in great hands it being a private practice and me paying out-of-pocket. The dentist told me at the end of my procedure to go buy some Tylenol and Ibuprofen. I was in pain the whole night so I called Camelot the following day and asked to talk to the manager of the practice and it turned out to be the receptionist that charged me. The whole experience was absolutely horrifying! I have had two root canals before and I had them done at dental dreams with no problems. I thought I was in good hands with Camelot and now I am forever traumatized.
